The Waterton Community Advisory Group was formed to provide recommendations to the ID#4 Council on issues of joint interest affecting Waterton Park, by a representative group of all Waterton Park community organizations.
This Group will ensure that there is broad community representation thereby strengthening ID #4, and allowing Parks Canada to follow a more streamlined municipal relationship by requiring it to communicate with only one organization on all community issues of common concern.
Members
Membership in the Waterton Community Advisory Group is comprised of
- one chair
- one representative from each of the Waterton Community groups:
Chamber of Commerce
Waterton Park Community Association
Waterton Natural History Association
Green Team
Waterton Lakes Leaseholders Association
- two observers representing:
ID Council #4
Parks Canada
Members of other community groups may be invited to participate, depending on the agenda issues at hand. These members could include:
- Church Organizations
- Canada Post Corporation
- Commercial operators
- Resident and seasonal cottagers/summer
- Staff
- Visitors
- Neighboring communities
