Company Profile

THE TAMARACK SHUTTLE Tamarack Outdoor Outfitters is the meeting place for convenient hiker shuttle services that run daily throughout Waterton. We operate shuttle buses that can seat up to 24 passengers. Reservations are recommended as some shuttles fill up early. The most popular shuttle destination is the world famous Carthew-Alderson Summit trailhead at Cameron Lake, a 12mile/20km high alpine hike that returns to the Waterton townsite. It is widely regarded as one of the top high alpine day hikes in North America. Another popular shuttle is the Chief Mountain Shuttle and assists those hikers returning by boat from northern Glacier trailheads via Goathaunt, MT. It drops hikers off at the Chief Mountain Customs parking area and the trailhead for the Belly River, Elizabeth-Cosley Lakes, and Stony Indian Pass hikes in Glacier. It also is the connection point for the GPI East Side Shuttle services to Many Glacier, St. Mary’s, and the Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttle system. Shuttles run late June to October, depending on spring/fall snowpack and weather conditions. LOCATION & CONTACT INFO Shuttles services are centrally located at Tamarack Outdoor Outfitters, 214 Mount View Road in alpine village of Waterton, which is located 5 miles inside Waterton Lakes National Park. Free parking.
